The premise of the game is a co-op puzzle experience with one player being without their vision and another is without their hearing. The blind player is a monk (hereto referred to as monk) and had unique abilities to make up for his lack of vision. The deaf player is a holy priest and has unique abilities to make up for his lack of hearing. The holy men gave up their senses in order to achieve the next level of enlightenment, which allows them to commune through telepathy. They are now on a quest to retrieve an idol. The game’s structure is a bottom up design approach with the puzzle objects of the game world designed first and then the levels designed with interesting puzzle objects. All of these puzzle object deal with either the creation or manipulation of light or sound to solve puzzles.

Player Abilities:
Sonic Shout (Monk) – 360 degree sound wave that reveals certain puzzle objects within the radius. Equivalent to 1 grid space in each of the 8 way directions

Place Sound Pointers (Priest) – Activates sound to direct the monk(blind player) to move right or left based on the direction. This was designed so as to minimize the player communication to a certain extent.

Mirrors – Reflects light and lasers

Weak Tiles - A tile in the game world that will kill the player if stepped on. Only detectable with the monk’s Sonic Shout ability.

Laser Tiles – A tile in the game that will kill the player if stepped on. Only detectable with vision.

Torches – A point light that used to illuminate the cave.

Fire- Dragon Head emits fire, player has to save himself from getting caught on fire.

Waterfall-Used to extinguish the fire from the dragon head.

Musical Notes – Object that plays a musical note when hit by a laser or stepped on.

Switch– To activate a game event (Ex. Switches for doors, rotating bridges, etc.).

Elevators- Used to move the players from one level to another.

Hammer- Can crush and respawn the players if they come in between two metal pieces (in level 1 and also in surprise level-shhhh)

Rotating Pendulum-A rotating rod, on upper area of level 1 which pushes the player away if the player touches it. So the player should take care to avoid the pendulum as much as possible to move from one position to another.

Laser Canon- On left and right side of the pendulum, we have two laser canons, which if shot on the player, makes the player respawn.

Idol-  only after clearing the musical level 3 can you reach the idol room. A victory sound is played and the room shuts after the visual player enters. once he moves near the idol, all hell breaks loose.

Moving cage- In the surprise level, a moving cage comes towards you, so you have a limited amount of time to switch the lasers in the correct order and get through the last phase of the surprise level.
